Jaume Abella, La Salle-URL University & Director of Academic Development of ISECOM
Jaume Abella (Barcelona, 1970) is Electronic Engineer (La Salle, URL). He is Head of the Networking Section and Associate Professor in the field of Networking at La Salle-URLEngineering School of the Ramon Llull University (URL), where he teaches Communication Networks, CCNA and CCNP certifications within the Networking Academy Program of CISCO Systems, and directs La Salle-URL's Master in Security. His research interests are security systems in computer networks and their improvement through artificial intelligence techniques, working within URL's research group of Intelligent Systems.

 

Vicente Aceituno, Senior Information Security Consultant, Sistemas Informáticos Abiertos.
He currently is a member of the Security Consulting Team of SIA Spain and the manager of the Security Maturity Model at ISECOM. He's been in the IT industry for more than ten years working in Spain and the United Kingdom. He is the coordinator of the FIST Security Conferences, wrote "Information Security" (Ed. Creaciones Copyright), to be published shortly before this ISESTORM. He's got a special interest on security management in big organizations, specially if that means to challenge stablished concepts.

 

Matías Bevilacqua, CYBEX
Matías Bevilacqua, IT Manager for CYBEX the first Spanish company specialized in fighting cybercrime and handling of digital evidence. Currently operating the only available exclusive Computer Forensic Laboratory at Spain. Former manger of the Security Deployment Dept. at InetSecur, Security Manager for UPC global online enrolment platform development team and worker for esCERT, Spanish incident response team which he represented on TF-CSIRT and FIRST international security groups.

 

Clement Dupuis, cccure.org - CISSP – GCFW – GCIA – ACE
Clément is an avid contributor to the security community and strongly believes in knowledge sharing in order to improve the overall state of security. He is a retired member of the Canadian DOD where he was employed as a Communications and IT specialist for over 20 years. He is a Global Incident Analysis Center expert, Certified Firewall Analyst (with honors) as well as a Certified Intrusion Analyst. Being a member of the SANS Advisory Board, he directly contributes to the development of the GCFW certification and is one of the authorized graders (AG) of the practical exams required to pass the certification. Clément has contributed to the SANS Securing Linux Step-by-Step book and the SANS Security Awareness guide. Clément is a member of the Commonly Accepted Security Practices and Recommendation for UNIX and also an active supporter of the OSSTMM. Clément is a technical reviewer of security books published by New Riders Publishing and regularly writes security articles for the Télé-Université Online Journal. Clément is also one of the security experts from the Security Clinic. He is the maintainer of the CISSP Open Study Guides web site, dedicated to helping those studying to become a CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional). He has written several of the study guides for the 10 CISSP Domains.
 

Geoff Dunn, Eng, IRCA Registered Lead Auditor
Geoff started business life as a mechanical engineer at Rolls Royce Aero Engines incorporating security and auditing relating to military and civilian development projects. After 25 years, he joined BSI as a Lead Auditor leading third party assessments over a wide range of industries within the United Kingdom and worldwide. Geoff left BSI for two years to join a consultancy group as Senior Management Consultant. He managed and facilitated the development of Business Management Systems within a wide range of industries including banks. Since 1996, Geoff has been back with BSI, where he has been running Information Security training courses worldwide, whilst still carrying out assessments on behalf of BSI.
 

Simon Biles, Computer Security Online Ltd., CISSP, OPSA, BS7799 Lead Auditor
Sim
on Biles is the lead consultant at Computer Security Online Ltd. an InfoSec consultancy in Oxford, England. He was the co-author of the Microsoft e-book on integrating Unix and Windows security services, and is currently working on a Snort IDS book for another well known computer book publisher. He has nearly 10 years experience of securing Linux, Windows and other UNIX flavours in high security commercial environments. He studied Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at Edinburgh University, and is currently studying for a Law degree from the University of London.
 

Pete Herzog, Managing Director of ISECOM
OPST, OPSA. As Managing Director, Pete is the co-creator of ISECOM and is directly involved in all ISECOM
projects. He has arrived from a long career in the security line of business. His main objective is for ISECOM is to improve international security and ethics from the night watchman to the high-tech system designers to the highschool student. Pete focuses on scientific, methodical testing for controlling the quality of security, countermeasures, access controls, and business integrity. In addition to managing ISECOM, Pete teaches the Masters for Security at La Salle-URL University in Barcelona which accredits the OPST and OPSA training courses and Business Information Security in the MBA program from ESADE which is the foundation of the OPSA. Other than security, Pete reads a lot. He reads pretty much everything he can get his hands on and most often is seen with a book, a magazine, and a pen for marking them up.
 

Peter Klee, IBM Global Services
Peter Klee is a career IBMer in Heidelberg, Germany working 15 years in networking, security, and now Ethical Hacking. His experience includes security administration and "just playing" with AS400, AIX, and most open source *nix types. Peter now teaches Ethical Hacking classes internally and commits himself to security architecture projects.

 

Enno Rey
Enno Rey loves playing around with network protocols and devices since he first heard about the internet protocol family. Prior to founding a specialized team of security researchers (aka building up his own company) in 2001 he's been working as a sysadmin and network operator. He has vast experience in designing, operating, troubleshooting and securing laaarge networks. Furthermore he is one of the authors of the first and only German book on penetration-testing, has written several articles and white papers on security subjects and is a frequent speaker on conferences throughout Europe. Enno's twelve years of information security experience include a wide variety of information security topics, amongst them cryptography, pentesting/auditing, secure network design and technology risk evaluation. Throughout the years he has acquired the usual security certifications (CISSP, CISA, BS 7799 Lead Auditor) and has provided security consultancy services to many Fortune 500 enterprises and governmental agencies. He will be happy to share his deep knowledge about network protocols and their inner workings with the audience.
